On January 1st I ventured down to Hartman Bottoms which is part of the Lake Dardanelle WMA (wildlife management area). There were a lot more birds but still not a ton. I saw a couple eagles but they never came too close. The most interesting part of the trip was the huge flock of Red-Winged Blackbirds, European Starlings, & Grackles. They must have numbered at least in the several tens of thousands.

We've had several small snows over the past few days as well. It snowed on the 24 & 25th of December, on the 29 & 30th, and the 3rd and 4th of January. None of the accumulations here were over 2 inches. These snow pics below are from snow that fell during the morning of January 4th.
