February 2, 2011 - Ice and Snow at Bingham Hollow Falls
The heaviest snow and ice from this major winter storm were just off to the NW. We only got around 1/2 inch of sleet and 1/2 - 1 inch of snow. We probably got around 1/4 - 1/2 inch of snow in the form of diamond dust snow which fell all night and much of the day!
February 4, 2011 - Ice and Snow at Bingham Hollow Falls
This storm was suppose to only bring 1/2 - 1 inch of snow but we ended up with 3-4 inches. I had my time lapse camera there from before the Feb 2 storm and it caught both snow events.

February 7, 2011 - Mount Nebo Snow
We got another 1-2 inches of snow with higher elevations getting even more. After class I drove up to Mount Nebo State Park. It looked like they got 2-4 inches of snow. The best part about this little snow storm was that the snow really stuck great to everything.
February 9, 2011 - More Snow
A significant snow storm brought us 8-10 inches of snow with much heavier ammounts up in NW Arkansas. Some places up there got over 2 feet of snow thanks to a significant mesoband of heavy snow that persisted over the same area for much of the early morning. Snowfall rates were as high as 3-4 inches per hour at times. Several significant snowfall records, including the most snow in a 24 hour period in Arkansas, were broken. The next morning also brought record low temperatures of around -20 to the deeply snow covered areas of NW Arkansas..
February 10, 2011 - Snow Hike
After failing to be able to get anywhere on the 9th I was able to do some hiking today. I made my way along a bluff overlooking The Mulberry River near Byrds Campground. I found several waterfalls along it during the summer. I didnt hike to the bottom of most of the waterfalls since the way down is a little dangerouns with snow.
