June 1, 2008 Western Arkansas Storms
Afternoon Storms
A severe
line of storms associated with a MCC (Mesoscale Convective
Complex) moved out of Eastern Oklahoma and into Western Arkansas
bringing with it severe winds and heavy rain. Damage was reported
all through the river valley from Roland through Fort Smith and
on eastward through Lavaca, Greenwood, Ozark, and Altus. Here are
video and pictures from the storm as it passed as seen from Log
Town Hill in Van Buren, AR

Morning Storms
Earlier
in the day several severe storms moved southeast from Northwest
Arkansas into the River Valley. I setup near Mulberry as a
formerly severe storm moved through there. The storm showed
supercellular characteristics and I observed a rotating wall
cloud. Here is video of that and pictures of the storm.
