There was a chance that some elevated storms would develop in SE KS/SW MO and move into NW AR early Friday morning (6-24-2011) so I decided to hike to the Goat Trail at Big Bluff on the Buffalo River to try and photograph some lightning from that location. This was my first hike to the Goat Trail/Big Bluff. The lightning never came close enough to produce any quality pictures but the sunrise was nice that morning.
June 21, 2011 There were some storms that developed down in Scott County so I made the hour drive down there to see if I could get any neat pictures. I chased the storms around for a few hours until the storms started to wind down. I managed to get some great lightning shots right as the storms ended. The big strike was the last storms very last strike!
