October 30, 2010 Steel Creek & Roark Bluff

I got up early to head up to Steel Creek and Roark Bluff on the Buffalo River. I was planning on a big day of hiking but the color was not all that great so I didnt do the other hikes I had planned but it worked out. Since I didnt leave Roark Bluff in a hurry I ended up coming back down and crossing the Buffalo as steam devils began forming. I watched them for quite a while. I was surprised they were so well formed in such a small water supply. I met and was joined in watching by Randy Wilson (http://ozarklight.com/).
