SE Oklahoma SlowMo Storms

Targeted the area east of developing mesolow and just south of outflow boundary from previous mornings mcs. We were heading south on Hwy 69 towards McAlester when storms began to initiate west in immediate vicinty of mesolow/outflow boundary.

We headed north to near Eufaula and waited around. A towering cu directly to our west looked neat but was definantly struggling.

We were informed that nice storms were up developing near Muskogee and also further west. We decided to go after the storms west of us. We headed back down Hwy 69 and off on 113 to Indianola but the storm had weakened into a mess by the time we got there so we headed down to McAlester. We were about to go down to the Coal County storm since it now had a tornado warning on it but almost immediately upon deciding to do that a tornado warning was issued for Pittsburg County for a storm that was very near McAlester. We got on 270 east out of McAlester and looked back NW to see a wall cloud.

We continued down 270 east staying just in front of the storm which was obviously very HP in nature. There was a lot of nice upward motions but could never see any confirmed rotation. By the time we got down near Hartshorne the rfd finally swung the door closed and we rushed east to stay out of the mess.

Later that night storms moved through Ozark, AR and i got some decent lightning.
