The low clouds and fog were suppose to clear during the day but that didnt happen. I had noticed on visible satellite that the clouds had cleared off the top of Mount Magazine (highest point in Arkansas) so I decided to get up there and see if I could see anything. The fog/low clouds persisted to within a couple hundred feet when I first got there but they slowly eroded throughout the night. I caught 26 Geminid Meteors with my digital slr camera and the best are pictured below. I only saw one true firbeall and it wasnt exceptionally bright but it did travel a good ways across the sky (first pics below).
