From October 15 thru October 16, 2006, several counties in Western Arkansas including Franklin, Johnson, Newton, Logan, & Sebastian counties recieved several inches of rain with some places recieving as much as 6.5 inches of rain in less than 24 hours. My backyard (7 miles NE of Ozark at 1650 ft) got 6.3 inches! Here are some pics from around the area.

>^the night after the rain we were enveloped in clouds and
when i went outside to get something out of car i noticed a halo
and I am guessing the light around my head must be a
Heiligenschein...both formed from the artifical light of my porch
light. It was very hard to get the camera to pick this up b/c it
was fairly windy and so within seconds my lens would get water
droplets on it plus the clouds themselves kinda washed the whole
thing out.

^last pictures are of low clouds right after the rain,
fog the next morning, and dew on grass^
