Its pretty bad when you completely forget a storm chase that includes a tornado! Its February 27, 2007 and I just remembered and looked on my webpage and sure enough - NOTHING. So after looking for the video (that thankfully has timestamps) HERE it is.

cumulus clouds developing near Perry, OK 4:01pm

storms began building quickly 5:00pm

storms going up all over and going linear 5:07pm

after making fun trip through the line James Hudzinksi (weekend meteorologists at KFSM) calls to inform me of rotation and after telling him where I was he says it actually should be just to be southwest! About 1 minute later I look southwest to see this coming right at us and being not extrememly far away. I tell my wife Tornado Floor It and she did it without questioning..it was actually kinda funny looking back that she believed me at all since I mess with her a lot but I guess she picked up on the terror in my voice.
625pm
somewhere east of Ponca City, Ok and west of Pawhuska, OK

We made it a bit farther east and the tornado lifted about the time it made it to the road where we had just been.

we continued east and were hopefull for a while as a nice inflow band developed but nothing happenend.
709pm

we did get to see something unusual though and i had forgotten about it as well. the storm that had the inflow band earlier began dying and after a bit the only thing that was left was this spinning tube? I am guessing that the same principle that allows for the formation of a horeshoe vortex are at work here as well (the spinning column mixing out more slowly that the area around thats not spinning)

will put together better video this weekend hopefully (2/27/07)

on the way we were buffeted by strong winds that developed behind the line and did damage in the tulsa area.
